Shaping Houston: Erin and Patrick Feges

Army Veteran Patrick Feges caught the barbecue bug while recovering from injuries suffered serving in Iraq. In 2012, Feges purchased a large smoking rig and began catering events and executing pop-ups, cooking the nontraditional smoked cuts for which he’s now known—everything from pig wings (pork shank) to beef-belly burnt ends. Patrick and his wife Erin Smith opened Feges BBQ in March 2018. With their combined fine dining experience and Patrick's barbecue expertise, Feges BBQ offers a new approach to barbecue combining traditional flavors and modern interpretations of classics.
